Third time’s a charm for engagements this week! From People comes the news of yet another wedding in the works, this one for “Brothers and Sisters” star Dave Annable and his adorable girlfriend (now-fiancee) of eighteen months, actress Odette Yustman.

Odette, the 24 year-old star of “The Unborn” and the short-lived “October Road” reportedly said “Yes!” to Dave when he proposed in Santa Barbara last week. Apparently, the two were able to keep their good news under wraps better than Joel Madden, who accidentally spilled the beans about his engagement to Nicole Ritchie on Twitter earlier this week. 3. Odette Yustman, 24: Part-Cuban actress Odette Yustman has fought for her life in two big-screen horror flicks: The Unborn (by The Dark Knight screenwriter David S. Goyer) and J.J. Abrams’s Cloverfield. And in the upcoming indie film Rogue’s Gallery, she’ll play a member of a group of undercover assassins, a character she describes as a bad-ass. I think all of this more than qualifies Odette to kick some butt on NCIS. Don’t you? The Cuban beauty (who is also French and Italian, but was born in Bogota, Colombia) was also ranked number 88 on FHM’s List of the Sexiest Women in the World in 2008.

After an all-too-brief two season run on ABC, the network cancelled October Road. Viewers were left hanging with lots of unanswered questions. Will Hannah end up with “Big Cat” or Nick? Who is young Sam’s father?

October Road follows Nick Garrett (Bryan Greenberg), an acclaimed writer who hits it big after writing a novel about his small town. When he develops writers block, he returns to face the family and friends he’d left behind. The ABC show also stars Laura Prepon, Brad William Henke, Geoff Stults, Tom Berenger, Jay Paulson, Evan Jones, Warren Christie, Slade Pearce, Odette Yustman, Rebecca Field, Jonathan Murphy, Lindy Booth, Elizabeth Bogush, and Penny Johnson.

Immediately after hearing of the show’s cancellation, the show’s creators — Josh Appelbaum, Andre Nemec and Scott Rosenberg — sat down and wrote a brief ending for Road. Appelbaum said, “It’s sort of like therapy for us, but the most important thing is that it means closure for the fans.” Soonafter, the cast of the show signed on to do the mini-episode that would wrap up the show and answer most of viewers’ long-running questions. Today’s Babe of the Day, Odette Yustman, is an L.A. native. InKindergarten Cop, she learned valuable life lessons. For example, boys have a penis, girls have a vagina and the difference between policemen and princesses. Now, Odette shares the silver screen with Gary Oldman in the scare-the-hell-out-of-you-maybe thriller, The Unborn. Odette is our first babe of the day to share screen time with both evil little kids and possessed, spider-walking old people. We think that’s a plus, but only on the internet.

Rogue Pictures will keep it all in the family this weekend when The Unborn hits theaters this Friday. ShockTillYouDrop.com has been informed a full trailer for Rogue’s The Last House on the Left remake is being sent out with prints of David Goyer’s possession party featuring star Odette Yustman. It’s possible the trailer may play with films other than Unborn, either way…we’ll be seeing it turn up in theaters this weekend. Possibly online before then.

We will always stop to write about Odette Yustman, the beauty from Cloverfield who next stars in The Unborn. Yustman talked to ComingSoon about a new independent project she’s set to star in, “a small, dry-wit, dark comedy about a group of assassins, they’re all based on Tarot card names.” The film is titled Rogue’s Gallery and also stars Adam Scott, Maggie Q, Ving Rhames, Ellen Barkin and comedians Jeffrey Tambor, Zach Galifianakis and Rob Corddry. “It’s funny in that way that it’s kind’ve gory, but hilarious in the way the situations come about because I get to work with great comedic actors,” Yustman explains.

Yustman’s character in the film is named Temperence, “and each of us have different functions and things we have to do,” she explains. “We’re hired by the government, we’re this underground society, and we’re basically sent to kill whoever we have to kill. And one day this new hire comes in and we wind up having to kill each other.” I hate to make the comparison, but it sounds a bit like Wanted, only more comical and with different characters. So why did she take on this role? “I got to do some fight training and some of my own stunts. That was my dream role. I get to kick ass, be funny, kill people with a paper cutter blade.”

In addition to the fact that Yustman is gorgeous, Rogue’s Gallery actually sounds like a very cool film. The script was written by two newcomers, Brian Watanabe and Abe Levy, and it’s being directed by another first-timer, Fouad Mikati. This is one of Darko Entertainment’s upcoming features, although I’m not sure when we’ll see it. I’m guessing it might premiere at a film festival sometime in 2009. I’m also curious whether the comedy and supernatural elements of this mesh well together. Even if they don’t and this turns out bad, we’ll at least have another film with Odette Yustman, which is always a damn good thing.

Yeessh, had you scared there for a moment? Well, anyway, it seems that a video has surfaced via YouTube and appears to be some sort of viral video promotion for Odette’s upcoming starrer The Unborn. Set to hit theaters January 9th, The Unborn features Odette as a presumably normal “only-child” until she begins to see visions of a murderous little boy who is hypothesized to be her twin! Only her twin was never actually born and supposedly died in the womb before returning to haunt Odette and everyone around her. I guess my only question is, if the boy died in the womb, why did he age to about 6-creepy-years-old and then just stop aging?
